Can it be possible?

Our counter tops are supposed to be installed on Wednesday. Hubby is also working on getting the top cabinets installed! I think I'm beginning to see the end of the tunnel! YAY!! This has been a very long process and I'll be so happy to have it over with! It's not easy to live without a kitchen, although we've managed!

I'm currently thinking about Thanksgiving and what I'll prepare for our dinner that day. My menu usually doesn't change too much, but I'd like to try something new this year.

My menu generally looks something like this:
  • Turkey
  • Stuffing
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Glazed carrots
  • Green beans
  • Sweet potatoes (sometimes baked, boiled, candied, or made into casserole)
  • Corn
  • Deviled eggs
  • Homemade yeast rolls
  • Pumpkin Pie (although, last year on my quest for something different I made a pumpkin cheese cake! YUM!)
  • Chocolate pie
  • Some kind of sugar free dessert for my mom who is diabetic.

If my family arrives well before dinner I will sometimes have an appetizer.

What are your Thanksgiving favorites? Do you have that one special recipe that you make year after year?

We always had a fruit salad w/ apples, oranges, tangarines, grapefruit, grapes, nuts, bananas, mayo.

Patty, that sounds delicious! Is that all there is to it or is there a recipe?
