It's my Birthday!

I wasn't going to post anything about my birthday, but it's just too funny not to. :o)

I've got to love my family! They know me so well. They know my likes and dislikes. They also know how to get to me! ;o)

I have to tell a couple of stories to set the stage for the pictures you are about to see.

First, when I was in high school I had a little bit of... um... attitude? So, one day in my English class I had a conversation with the teacher that went something like this:

Teacher: Patty, you've missed quite a few days of school. I'm a little concerned about that.

Me: I haven't missed any days of school.

Teacher: Well, Patty, I have down here in my roll book that you've missed x number of days.

Me: I haven't missed any days of school.

Teacher: Patty, I have you down as missing x number of days.

Me: My name's not Patty.

That's a true story! My name is Patricia and I go by Trish or Tricia. I hate it when people take it upon themselves to shorten my name to Pat or Patty. So, in this particular class when the teacher was calling "Patty", I wasn't answering. I'm sorry, I was 17.

Next story. I have a fascination of cleaning products. I know, I know. It's strange, but true. When I go to the store I could spend a loong time in the cleaning supply aisle. Ask my girls, they'll tell you! LOL So, several years ago my husband bought me a beautiful sweater, or maybe it was a dress. I can't remember. But, what I do remember was he put a huge bottle of lavender scented Windex in the clothing box! LOL It was hilarious! I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out what was in that box. It had such an odd shape! When I opened it on Christmas morning we all laughed until we had tears!

My family knows 1) If you want to really get to me, call me Patty and 2) If you really want to make me happy, buy me some cleaning products! LOL

So with those two stories, I leave you with these memories from my 40th birthday from a family that I love:
